Research

My research is very interdisciplinary, primarily moving between philosophy of mind, philosophy of psychology and cognitive science, and phenomenology (especially Merleau-Ponty).

The foundation of my research project, covering various elements of skill (including a set of criteria and analysis of the memory systems at play in skillful performance), is laid out in my doctoral work which can be found here.

In addition, I am currently working on several articles, including:

  • "Between the World and Body: An Embodied Account of Personal Memory"

  • "AI vs Human: Time-Consciousness and Agency in Musical Improvisation"

  • “An RRRR Account of Flexibility in Skill: Resilience, Reliability, Responsiveness and Robustness

  • “Virtual Skill: Theatre and Acting Performance”

  • “Embodied Memory in the Merleau-Ponty, Beauvoir and Fanon”

  • “Embodied Procedural Memory”
