Public Philosophy
I am very interested in a more public-facing philosophical approach that makes philosophy accessible to those outside the professional discipline. Here is some of what I’ve undertaken in service of that idea…
Between You and Me (substack)
reflections on philosophy, philosophers, and their audience - especially relating to the ways personal elements shine through philosophical work and make deep communication possible.
Presentations to public/non-specialized audiences
Capitol Hill Middle School - 8th grade class introducing them to philosophical topics
Women’s Retreat in Albert Lea, MN - presentation on habits and habituation based on embodied research on memory and skill, along with upshots on how to retrain/rehabituate oneself.
